<p>We can start answering that question by considering our own personal vision of what excellent teaching and learning looks like for teachers, students, and other stakeholders. <strong>We’re not saying that you can turn your school into an educational utopia overnight, but this is the time to “dream big” and let those dreams influence your work in the course going forward.</strong> As you hear stories from other school leaders, your vision will likely evolve; this is a natural and expected part of the process.</p>

<p>Think about a powerful learning environment you’ve observed, but not necessarily participated in.</p>

<p>Now think about the most compelling and powerful learning environment you’ve created as an educator, or helped create/enable as an administrator.</p>
</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>What did these environments feel like? What did they sound like? What did they look like? What were students doing in these settings? What were teachers doing? Also consider what you’ve seen in the course so far. </strong>Maybe there were aspects of the video content that inspired you. If you’re taking the course with colleagues from your school, talk about what a powerful learning environment means to them. Does it reflect values that your school explicitly or implicitly has?</p>

<li><strong>Choose at least three important elements of your perspective on a powerful learning environment and then describe and explain them.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Create an image that evokes your vision of a powerful learning environment. </strong>You could make a collage, drawing, or take a photo. <h3>Unlisted YouTube Videos</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 25.6000003814697px;">Many people will want to share their videos with others, but not necessarily make them public to the whole world on the internet. In this case you may find it useful to make your video "unlisted". This means that only people with the link can view the video, so no one would be able to search and find it by accident.</p>
<p style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 25.6000003814697px;">To do this, upload a video to YouTube then in that video's settings, change the privacy from public to unlisted.</p>
