<p>The Shrewsbury Public Schools' graduate profile working group had numerous discussions around defining characteristics of their graduates, including discussions around what "leadership" means.</p>
<ul>
<li>Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Amy Clouter says, "I think sometimes we assume that everybody is on the same page. Even within education, we use terminology that we think 'Oh when I say critical thinking, you know what I mean by that.'" Think about one term that you might include on a graduate profile that potentially has multiple definitions. How would you define it? Can you think of one or two other definitions of that term? Share your answers in your journal or with your peers. </li>

MIT Professor of Economics David Autor adds to this, explaining that as the working world rapidly evolves, creative thinking and problem-solving will be crucial.
