This Final Quiz consists of two parts. There are a few things that you need to know before you get started. Please review this material before beginning the exam.

Computer-Graded Portion

The computer-graded portion of the final exam consists of five questions.

The computer-graded portion of the final examination will be available for two weeks. You may complete the exam at any time during this week.

You have 2 hours to complete the computer-graded portion. These hours do not need to be consecutive. You are welcome to work on the Final for several shorter periods throughout the week. However, the total amount of time you spend on the Final should not exceed the 2 hour limit. The time limit is based on the Honor Code, and we ask you to be honest when accounting for your time.

You will generally have 4 attempts to answer each exam problem. (Multiple choice problems will only allow one or two attempts.)

The computer-graded portion is due on May 22nd at 13:00 UTC. (This is 9am in Massachusetts.)

60% of your Final Exam grade will be based on the computer-graded portion

Peer-Evaluated Portion

The peer-evaluated portion of the Final Quiz consists of four short essay questions.

The peer-evaluated portion of the Final will be available for one week.

General Exam Information:

The Forums will remain open in a limited capacity during the Final. You may not ask other students for help solving problems or assist your fellow students with their exam answers. Providing problem solving assistance on the Forums while the Quiz is in progress is considered a violation of the Honor Code, and course staff will be monitoring the Forums closely during this time. You may use the Forums to alert the course staff to any potential mistakes with problems or ask for clarification of a problem that you find unclear. Course staff will not provide any problem solving assistance while the Final is in progress.

Both parts of the Final Quiz are open book. You may use whatever resources you would like to solve the problems, as long as the work is your own.

Good luck on your Quiz!
